It is such a great privilege for Crossroad’s board of directors to give feedback on the activities of this past year.

The Lord uses Crossroad.com on various platforms to spread God’s Word in today’s world. Approximately 165 000 people are reached every week.

Among the highlights of the year was the launch of Renata’s first book, U Woord en ek, in August. The book was so well received, it is already in its second print run. All five Crossroad books are available at https://shop.247.org.za/ or at CUM Books nationwide.

Another highlight was the introduction of the new leader’s guide after a year of hard work and design. The board is very excited about it.

It works as follows: Every week, the younger generation receives their daily message via WhatsApp. When they meet as a group later in the week, the leader uses the leader’s guide on the App. The guide takes the leader by the hand and provides all the necessary information for leading the group. Amongst others, the guide provides the following: icebreaker, prayer, Scripture, questions for discussion and interactive questions. The interactive module indicates whether the answers were right or wrong. The guide also contains links to more information on the topic, videos and space to ask more questions.

The leader’s guide will be rolled out on Roadtrip247 next year and will then also be available on the Crossroad platforms.

Wherever Crossroad or Roadtrip247 users are – at the office, at school, in church, or even under a tree – with the push of a button they will be able to obtain the full leader’s guide to lead a group to make God’s Word part of their lives in the world today.

In January 2020, René Badenhorst will join us to assist with the editing and compilation of the leader’s guides.

We want to sincerely thank each Crossroad reader who supported the Crossroad team with prayers, finances, purchasing Gerjo Ben and Renata’s books, personal feedback, and in so many other ways too. This enables them to focus faithfully on what the Lord has called them to do full-time since 2012.

1 Corinthians 9:16 If I proclaim the Message, it’s not to get something out of it for myself. I’m compelled to do it, and doomed if I don’t!
