Short & Sweet: DOUBT CAUSES A POTHOLE IN THE ROAD

I have a chat at table with one of the actors in Binnelanders. He has recently given his life to The Lord.  His first question to me is whether it is wrong to doubt.

We have to work constructively on our unfaithfulness because in a way we cancel Jesus’ death on the cross. Anélia sends me the following:

There is an interesting story in the Apocryphal books.

After Pentecost Jesus’s followers are prosecuted severely. Peter are making plans to flee the city for safety. While sneaking around He unexpectedly bangs into Jesus carrying the cross on his shoulders.

Taken aback he asks: “But Lord, what now? Didn’t you ascend to heaven?”

And Jesus says: ”Yes, Peter, but it looks like you do not believe, so I now have to be crucified for you again.”

This made me think – and has me thinking regularly. Every time I doubt, it is as if I ask for Jesus to be crucified over and over again.
