A little boy really wants to meet God.

He realises that it will take a long time to travel to where the Lord lives.

He packed a packet of chips and a 6 pack juice in his bag and started his journey.

About three blocks from home he met an elderly man. The man sat in the park quietly staring at the doves on the ground.

The boy sat down next to the man and opened his bag. He planned to drink some juice when he noticed that the old man looked hungry. He then offered the man some of his chips.

The man gratefully took the chips, smiling softly while he looked at the boy.

The boy liked the beautiful smile so much that he wanted to see it again.

He then offered the old man a cool drink and once again he smiled at the boy.

The boy loved it and they sat there the whole afternoon, eating and smiling at each other – without saying a word.

When it turned dark, the boy realised how tired he was and got up to get on.

He just gave a few steps before turning around. He ran to the old man and gave him a hug. He looked up at the old man and gave him his broadest smile ever.

A while later when the boy opened their front door his mother saw his happy face and asked him.

“What happened to you today that makes you so happy?”

He spontaneously reacted:

“I had lunch with God.”

Before his mother could reply he added:

“Mum you know what? He had the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.”

In the mean-time the old man also went home full of joy.

His son was astounded by his dad’s happy face.

He asked: “Dad, what did you do today which made you so happy?”

The old man answered: “I ate chips with the Lord in the park.”

Before his son could react, he added: “You know, he is much younger than I thought.
