“I started working as a supervisor in a new department since 1 April 2017.  The division is going through a tough time because of an investigation in the Public Service.

At our very first meeting on the first day the oldest lady wanted to ask a question. “May we start with Scripture and prayer?  Every week.” Take note:  Our department is multi-cultured.

I then consulted the others and the suggestion was welcomed with open arms and it grew in such a way that we now also do this on a Friday. We then ask God’s guidance for the weekend. We read the Bible in Afrikaans, translate it to English and South Sotho. We pray and sing in English and South Sotho. Every one can’t wait to share the Scripture and we speak blessings on one another, Mondays and Fridays.

Previously staff was unmotivated, could not do some work and was scared to make decisions because of the investigation. But after we invited God into our workplace and even encouraged each other during the week with God’s Word, the atmosphere changed. Instead of stress, we experience calm despite everything.

There is a feeling of supernatural peace in our building and we all experience it. We work in harmony and one woman who used to shout because of small problems, now is much calmer and we can sort out problems peacefully.”
