He knows how your story goes.
Four years ago I was first diagnosed with cancer of my lymph nodes. After 6 months of chemo, another 5 months of chemo (2 rounds), a stem cell transplant and a month’s radiation to my chest, I went into remission in 2014.
A year ago I was diagnosed with relapsed Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Another 5 months of chemo (1 round) and a month’s radiation to my abdomen and pelvic area and I’m so blessed to be in remission again!
It’s a strange thing to say, but I truly feel as though I am so blessed to have gone through what I did. I feel like one of the lucky ones, not only because I am here today to tell a story about it, being able to create awareness, and showing off God’s unfailing love and grace, but because I’ve learned that the difficult things that we are forced to deal with in life are also where we learn the most, feel the most and the beginning of a challenge set out as part of your own unique story written by God, to advance us to the next level of our understanding about this life and God’s true will for yourself. Everyone’s hill is their own mountain, everyone’s biggest challenge is their own “cancer” in this life, so whatever that mountain may be in your own life, take the time to stand back and remove yourself from becoming strangled with emotions, rather let those emotions help you grow as a messenger for God. Feel blessed that you are being challenged – what a honor – as hard as that may seem.
On this day and this month, I pray that more of us realise how we are suppose to fight this battle, this “cockroach”, and do so, with prayer and faith… with the Power of our Almighty God!
He is the one that created you, that breathed air into your lungs… trust Him. He knows how your story goes… He wrote it Himself, even before you were born!
Saying a prayer to all my fellow fighters and warriors, the ones still on earth and ones who have gained their angel wings! Also the special carers, family and friends… that we sometimes forget… fighting the battle with us!

Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.
