The opinion often is that it is because of people’s choices that God’s plan flopped.

Often people say that it’s because of people’s stupid choices, especially in the Garden of Eden, that God’s plan A flopped. Then God had to introduce a plan B, by letting Jesus die on a cross.

That’s not true. Jesus has always been part of the plan. Yes, we don’t really understand why the plan had to go the way it did, but I believe that God knew exactly what people would and wouldn’t do.

Jesus’ coming to earth was already on the cards before creation. ²⁰Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you.

Actually, the plan has been on the table forever, before the existence of time. God put together a wonderful plan that worked out perfectly. This plan was to use a perfect sacrifice, the perfect Jesus.

We are in the privileged position to be a part of it. We don’t have to sacrifice animals for our sins like the guys of the Old Testament. We don’t have to worry and make plans about how we’re going to take responsibility for the wrong things we do.

²¹It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.

Thank you for that! We live in AC, not BC. We live in the time after Jesus had completed His work on earth. We are among the fortunate ones who’ve been pardoned and who can enjoy the grace of Jesus’ act of mercy.

I wonder if we always realise this? I wonder if we always live in such a way that the rest of the world can see that our Heavenly Father’s plans, which He made even before the existence of everything, have been implemented?

We must know that God did not make plans for us as an afterthought. No, the plan to make a perfect sacrifice through Jesus was there from the beginning, for you and me.

Yes, we’ve been in God’s thoughts from the beginning and we can hold onto that today. It can move us. It is our foundation that we’ve always been part of God’s plan. It must be the fire that is lit in us to make a difference in the world out there.

No, even more than just making a difference. We have to go tell others. We must go and show others what it means to be part of God’s plan, which is older than the world. People should come and ask us what makes us so different and what makes our lives different. They also should want to live the way we do, because it is visibly different and better than the rest of the world trying to live without Jesus.

Let us live as saved people today. Let us realise that we are seen by God. We are His loved ones. We are His precious children and He will help us on the path we must walk. He will make plans for us, as He did before creation. He is the Master Plan Maker.

Father, thank you that I can know that You are the great Plan Maker. Thank you that I can now live in Jesus’ grace. Also help me to make plans for my day, so that others can see my wish to live according to Your will. Amen.
