The results are different
This is Celeste’s story of a miracle:
I want to witness about a miracle that happened in our lives.
In 2008, my husband, Alex, underwent a big back operation. Very successful.
In December 2018, he was admitted to hospital again. He couldn’t walk, sit, stand, nothing. He suffered pins and needles in both legs so badly that his legs were literally dead. He was overcome by pain. When you got him into the car, you couldn’t get him out again.
The neurologist took one look at the MR scan and said that they would have to operate. There was no way in which they could release the nerve that was caught between two vertebrae. The pinched nerve had blown up like a balloon on the inside of the vertebra. The disks had disappeared.
Bad news, but what we had expected. All our friends and family from across the country were praying for his recovery. I was praying all the time as well.
Shortly before the operation, my husband woke up one morning and said: “Darling, I’m not going for the operation!”. I ignored this comment – he was probably afraid of the operation. Two days later he phoned me from work with the same message. I told him this was not a decision that he could make on his own …
We went to the doctor and in the consulting room Alex suddenly dropped to his knees bend forward. The doctor had such a fright, he thought Alex had collapsed. After a moment of silence, the doctor said: “God is great, because medically speaking, there is no way that your back could have healed!”. The doctor was speechless and could only giggle from shock and amazement …
We do serve a great God and we hear from a doctor’s mouth that He is still doing miracles today. But that is how God does it. From early on, He was doing miracles here on earth. Just look at Abraham: 12That’s how it happened that from one man’s dead and shrivelled loins there are now people numbering into the millions.
When God is involved, the results are different. Things that are impossible for humans become possible. God makes things happen that people thought could never happen. God makes possible what seemed impossible.
That’s our God! He is a God of miracles. Not only in the past with Abraham and Sarah, but also today with Celeste and Alex. And with all his children as well.
God will also make miracles happen in you. Just believe!
